Aero EV: 0 to 100 in 2.5 seconds, 10 min recharge, 350km range

Just in case people think the Prius is the end-state for new vehicles, Shelby Supercars have unveiled their latest: The Ultimate Aero EV

The results are impressive (excuse the non-metric):
1,000 HP and 800 lb-ft of torque
0 – 60mph in 2.5 seconds
Top speed of 208 mph.
A range of 150-200 miles on a single charge
10 minute full battery recharges on a 220V service.

But the most exciting thing is that their fancy new 'All-Electric Scalable Powertrain' (AESP) is will be available to other manufacturers in 'a wide variety of applications ranging from 200 horsepower for economy and midsize cars, to 500 horsepower for light trucks and SUVs, and up to 1,200 horsepower for delivery trucks, heavy-duty equipment, buses and military vehicles.'
